The Whalenerd's Podcast
Destination: Monterey Bay
Updated: Mar 14
It's no secret that Monterey Bay is one of our favorite places to watch whales. We will be running trips in April out of Moss Landing CA with Blue Ocean Whale Watch. These 6 hour trips are an excellent time to search fora wide variety of wildlife.
Spring time in Monterey Bay is incredible! This is the peak time of year to see killer whales as they hunt for marine mammals. While sightings of killer whales are not guaranteed - this is the best time of year to try your luck. We also have the possibility to see humpback whales, gray whales, blue whales, fin whales and a wide variety of dolphins. We might also spot migratory pelagic birds, ocean sunfish, sharks, and more.
Our spring time trips depart early in the day to take advantage of the calmest sea conditions of the day and get out ahead of most of the daily boat traffic. Join us on an ocean safari from Moss Landing CA aboard the High Spirits at Blue Ocean Whale Watch. We are operating these trips at a limited capacity for your comfort on board. We will only be taking 25 passengers per day.
